Martina Jacoma films her own body as if she were in the process of discovering her very own backstage. This is a voyage that delves deep inside while expelling a shadow of her conscience. One might say that the fear of going astray triggers a quest for that place where life is transformed, beyond mere semblance and into close proximity with that which is real - a state where everything becomes essence and nothing unknown...
Martina explores this "inner body - inner world" with no constraints and no horizon - a place where the void is second only to thought and memory.
Her images are frozen in moments of shock rendered apparent by the details of a shape or the movement of a body passing through the spirit's breeze.
She probes her images putting into motion a hint of languor in the hope of discovering the blood of life as it glides across the skin. That anatomy so graciously provided by Mother Nature becomes an exhibition place for reflections that reside in uniquely created spaces.
